Job Title: DevOps Support Engineer
This role sits at the heart of a major transformation programme, supporting the migration of applications from traditional infrastructure into modern AWS cloud environments while maintaining production stability. Around 70% of the position focuses on application support and production engineering, with the remaining 30% dedicated to cloud engineering and DevOps transformation. It is particularly well suited to Infrastructure Engineers who have successfully evolved into Cloud or DevOps Engineers and enjoy working in globally distributed, highly regulated environments.
You will join a forward-looking organisation undergoing a significant digital and security transformation, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact cloud migration and modernisation initiatives. You will collaborate with skilled professionals across globally distributed teams, gaining exposure to complex, highly regulated environments and advanced monitoring, automation and security practices. This role offers strong professional development potential for engineers who want to deepen their expertise in AWS, DevOps, production engineering and cyber security, while contributing directly to business‑critical services.
You will work in a modern, enterprise‑scale technology environment focused on AWS‑based platforms and highly available production systems. Day‑to‑day work involves a mix of hands‑on engineering, incident response and collaboration with cyber security, infrastructure and application teams across multiple regions. The technology stack includes AWS (such as EC2 and EKS), Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Python and Shell scripting, HashiCorp Vault, CI/CD tooling, Datadog, BigPanda and SQL‑based data stores. The setting is highly regulated, with strong emphasis on security controls, governance and robust operational practices. You will be part of globally distributed teams, typically working standard business hours with the expectation of flexibility to support critical incidents or major releases when required. The culture encourages clear communication, structured incident management and disciplined change processes, while supporting ongoing learning and professional growth.
