Join to apply for the DevOps/SRE Engineer role at Flexhire.

We’re seeking a Senior DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help architect and operate core platform infrastructure supporting this initiative. You’ll join a fast-moving, cross-functional team across platform, development, and infrastructure streams. This greenfield contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys building from the ground up.

We are starting an exciting project to design and implement an AI Robotic Welding solution for a UK-based client. The initial phase involves defining the delivery roadmap in close collaboration with the client.

The role is hybrid (UK-based), and candidates with, or eligible for, MOD security clearance will be prioritized. Market rates apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab.
2. Deploy, operate, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production.
3. Containerize services using Docker and manage registries.
4. Implement telemetry, logging, and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
5. Build dashboards and set up automated alerts for platform reliability.
6. Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with application needs.
7. Contribute to platform architecture and infrastructure-as-code automation (e.g., Terraform).

Ideal Experience

1. 5+ years in DevOps or SRE roles, preferably in high-compliance or infrastructure-heavy domains.
2. Proven experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, operations).
3. Hands-on experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
4. Strong background in containerization using Docker and orchestration tools.
5. Familiarity with telemetry/observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus).
6. Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
7. Comfort with Infrastructure as Code frameworks like Terraform.
8. Bonus: Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) or in AI/ML/robotics domains.
9. Bonus: UK MOD security clearance or eligibility.
