Raymarine UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Python developer with expertise in container deployment, delivery pipelines, and noSQL databases. In this role, you will develop new solutions and maintain an existing suite of applications used internally.

The position involves developing and maintaining Python Flask applications handling engineering change data, processing, validating, and recording changes to PDM databases. Input data from SolidWorks and Altium design tools will be stored and processed in MongoDB, with design data transferred to Box.com. The user interface and REST APIs are built with Flask and deployed using Docker Compose in a self-hosted environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead Python developer for the team
• Serve as SME for Engineering Change infrastructure
• Administer MongoDB databases
• Design data architecture for engineering data domain
• Provide training on developed systems

Job Qualifications:

• Degree or higher in a related field with significant software components
• Knowledge of noSQL databases, preferably MongoDB
• Proficiency in JavaScript, C#, Flask, and REST APIs
• Experience with containerization: Docker and Docker Compose
• Desirable: familiarity with mechanical and hardware design concepts
• Desirable: knowledge of Kubernetes
