Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Delivery Centre and help design, build, and support cloud delivery platforms for our clients.

You'll work with architects and engineers on AWS-based solutions, automate operations, and develop CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior teammates. The role requires active SC clearance and a collaborative, learning-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Familiar with GitHub and Jenkins or similar tools.
• IaC experience using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting and automation with Python/Java/Bash.
• Active SC Clearance and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud delivery platforms for client partnerships.
• Automate operational processes and infrastructure deployment.

We're expanding our engineering capability and looking for a Platform Engineer to join our growing Delivery Centre team. You'll work alongside architects, consultants, and engineering specialists to deliver modern cloud solutions that make a real impact for our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting cloud infrastructure and delivery platforms within long-term client partnerships.

You'll be:

• Automating operational processes and infrastructure deployment
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Working with AWS cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders
• Supporting the operation and continuous improvement of production environments
• Contributing to engineering best practices and mentoring junior team members

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, or similar
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Scripting and automation experience (Python, Java, Bash, or similar)
• Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills
• Associate‑level AWS certification
• Active SC Clearance is essential

Nice to Have

• Ansible or other configuration management tools
• Docker and Kubernetes exposure
• Experience supporting production systems
• AI‑assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar

Location

We welcome applicants from across the North East, with an expectation of approximately 60% office‑based working.

Security Requirements

Due to client requirements, successful candidates must:

• Hold active SC Clearance
• Have resided in the UK continuously for the last five years
• Not have spent more than six consecutive months outside the UK during that period
