Job summary

CGI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and support secure infrastructure that underpins critical services. You will automate deployments, improve CI/CD pipelines, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platforms using container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.

You will contribute to security, reliability, and performance across complex environments, while embracing modern DevOps practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps or platform engineering environments with automation, infrastructure, and continuous delivery.
• Proactive, collaborative problem solver in agile teams; learning new technologies.
• Experience supporting secure or highly regulated environments is beneficial.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will design, build, and support secure infrastructure solutions that underpin critical services and applications. You'll work closely with developers, testers, and platform teams to improve automation, streamline deployments, and enhance system reliability across complex environments. Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you should have experience working within DevOps or platform engineering environments, with a strong understanding of automation, infrastructure, and continuous delivery practices. You'll be a proactive and collaborative problem solver, comfortable working within agile teams and eager to learn new technologies. Experience supporting secure or highly regulated environments would be beneficial.

Essential qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Exposure to cloud and modern platform engineering practices
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, Java, or Go
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile environments
• UK Security Clearance / Developed Vetting (DV) or eligibility to undergo clearance
