The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Customer Services & Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will manage the daily operations of our SAP ecosystem. The professional will manage client relationships and work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement, and maintain multiple system components and applications. Additional responsibilities include managing periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, and upgrades as part of a team.

You must have the desire and ability to work independently on complex issues, as well as collaborate efficiently with experts to anticipate issues that impact customer success.

The role includes the following tasks:

• Provision, monitor, and operate cloud services in a globally distributed team
• Analyze and resolve operational issues, and respond to incidents
• Work with complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance
• Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for resource allocation
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvements
• Partner with the product development team to design and enhance services
• Develop and implement testing strategies and document results
• Develop automation for testing, deployment, scalability, management, and visibility of services
• Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with global team members
• Support on-call rotation schedule
• Be flexible with work hours, including weekends or after-hours work

What you will bring:

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Expertise with GIT
• Understanding of CI/CD
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing and databases
• Understanding of web services, networking, virtualization, and protocols
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS services such as Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, ACM, KMS, VPC
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of security fundamentals for SaaS systems
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
