DevopsUK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team of consultants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, using your expertise to help them design, implement, and maintain their infrastructure and deployment pipelines. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to take on leadership roles, mentor and guide other team members, and help drive technical decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements
• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Maintain and optimize infrastructure as code
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployments
• Monitor and optimize system performance and availability
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
• Continuously improve and automate processes and systems
• Mentor and guide other team members
• Take on leadership roles and help drive technical decisions

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Python, Ruby, or Go)
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a leadership or mentorship role
