Perplexity is seeking a DevOps engineer to join our small, fast-moving team to design, implement, and scale infrastructure supporting our search features.

You will build scalable systems, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling, monitor performance, and ensure reliability. Experience with AWS, containers, and Python is valued as we push for rapid iteration and robust reliability across services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps/SRE/System Administration experience.
• Strong experience with AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable systems.
• Develop tools to assist other engineers in their daily tasks.
• Create CI/CD pipelines to improve stability and speed of iteration.
• Maintain and optimize databases.
• Scale web backends and monitor system performance.
• Build monitoring tools and dashboards for visibility into health and performance.
