One of our companies is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer in the United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to join a global team building cutting-edge scientific software used by millions of researchers. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll focus on optimizing cloud infrastructure, enhancing deployment pipelines, and implementing automation across high-traffic applications. You’ll work with Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD tools to support product teams in deploying and maintaining scalable and secure systems. This position is ideal for someone passionate about improving infrastructure performance and enabling innovation in scientific research through technology.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS-native and Kubernetes-based applications.
  • Collaborate with product teams to improve deployment strategies and cloud best practices.
  • Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure environments, focusing on automation and performance.
  • Develop alerting and monitoring systems using tools like DataDog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Translate AWS Well-Architected Framework principles into actionable processes and configurations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing high-traffic applications and complex cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services (ECS, EKS, EC2, ALB, S3, RDS, Route53, etc.).
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes and managing containerized environments.
  • Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, or CodePipeline.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, monitoring systems, and logging frameworks.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and version control best practices is a plus.
