Job summary

Global Relay is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in London to design, enhance, and implement CI/CD solutions using best practices. You will monitor production and test environments, build dashboards and alerts, and mentor junior engineers to maximise impact.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate requirements early in the development lifecycle, sharing knowledge to drive standardisation and efficiency. Hybrid work options are available in Greater London.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience mentoring other DevOps engineers.

Designing, enhancing and implementing reusable CI (Continuous Integration)&CD (Continuous Delivery) solutions using industry best current practices. Monitoring and ensuring smooth operation of production and test environments by building dynamic dashboards and alerting rulesets Developing junior/intermediate DevOps engineers to maximise their potential and impact Collaborating with cross functional teams and finding opportunities to automate their requirements early in the development lifecycle. Sharing your knowledge and solutions within the DevOps community to maximise efficiencies and standardisation. Troubleshooting and problem solving by reviewing dashboards and logs to resolve issues and putting in solutions to stop them from reoccurring. Writing and running deployment automation tools using helm, ansible, or other configuration management systems

You are able to work under pressure and you are a keen problem solver with a drive for finding efficient solutions to challenging problems. Minimum of 4 years experience applying DevOps practices and implementing solutions using : Python, Java, shell scripting Linux CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLabCI, CircleCI, TravisCI Experience using container and container platform technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience in mentoring and supporting other DevOps engineers Experience working in a microservice-oriented environment Experience in an operational environment with a solid understanding of distributed systems and troubleshooting network-related issues Experience of applying security practices within the software development lifecycle Excellent understanding of software delivery practices such as Git branching models and configuration management Experience working with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Helm, Puppet Excellent knowledge of build tools such as Maven/Gradle Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases Будет плюсом: Experience using virtualisation technologies such as VMware; Excellent knowledge of writing Jenkins deployment pipelines, using groovy and Jenkinsfiles; Practical experience of software delivery practices such as feature toggling, no-downtime deployments and blue-green deployments; Working knowledge of Kafka
