Informa TechTarget is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure running in AWS. You’ll focus on security, automation, and developer enablement, partnering with product engineering to ensure reliable deployments and robust monitoring.

You will lead patching, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD improvements, develop PowerShell scripts to reduce toil, and participate in on-call rotations to drive long-term resilience across environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps, Cloud or Systems Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS production experience.
• Experience managing Windows Server in AWS.

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure running in AWS. This role is focused on operational excellence, security, automation, and developer enablement. You’ll work closely with product engineering teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and easy to deploy, while driving improvements in CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.

• Manage and operate Windows Server environments in AWS (EC2), ensuring high availability and performance
• Own patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening processes across Windows workloads
• Monitor and respond to security events, working closely with security teams to remediate risks
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support consistent, reliable application deployments
• Implement and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
• Develop automation using PowerShell and scripting to reduce manual operational overhead
• Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health
• Partner with product engineering teams to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
• Support releases and ensure smooth deployment processes across environments
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as an escalation point for production incidents
• Lead or contribute to incident response and post-mortems, driving long-term improvements

• Extensive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS in production environments
• Proven experience managing Windows Server infrastructure (preferably in AWS)
• Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and security event handling
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred)
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting production systems
• Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams and support production workloads
• You prioritise automation, reliability, and repeatability in everything you build
• You take ownership of systems and drive issues through resolution
• You’re comfortable working in production environments and handling incidents
• You collaborate effectively with engineering and security teams
• You continuously look for ways to reduce toil and improve system stability

• Experience with Active Directory integration in AWS (Managed AD, AD Connector)
• Familiarity with Sitecore CMS, other .NET applications and IIS in production
• Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for patching and automation
• Exposure to containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with Datadog or OpenTelemetry-based observability
• Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
