Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced DV Cleared DevOps/Software Engineer for a contract role in Worcester. The position offers £550-£600 per day outside IR35 and a condensed working week (3 long days paid for 5).

Active MOD DV clearance is required to ensure secure software delivery in a high-impact environment. Design CI/CD pipelines, deploy Kubernetes clusters, and automate infrastructure while collaborating with engineers to improve workflows and implement best practices in modern DevOps

Qualifications

• Must have DV clearance and experience in secure DevOps.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
• Experience designing scalable, secure platforms in modern DevOps environments.
• Ability to work with multiple programming/scripting languages and automate delivery.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms.

Condensed week available - work 3 long days, paid for 5

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and application platforms
• Collaborate with engineers to develop, test, and release software efficiently
• Implement automation and infrastructure as code
• Ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and scalable
• Deliver software fixes, upgrades, and performance improvements

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• CI/CD & Automation: GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts
• Scripting & APIs: Python, PowerShell, REST APIs

• Secrets Management: Hashicorp Vault
