Job summary

A leading Financial Services/FinTech organization in Edinburgh is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer for a contract role. The position focuses on managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure within a complex program. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in DevOps, particularly in FinTech, and be proficient in tools like Terraform and Docker. The role operates in a hybrid model, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite.

Qualifications

Job description

Inside IR35 working via an Umbrella Company

An Edinburgh-based Financial Services/FinTech organisation is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer for a contract role. The primary focus will be managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure in AWS within a large, complex programme. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer
  2. Experience in FinTech or small-to-medium Financial Services organisations
  3. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, with AWS DevOps Engineer certification preferred
  4. Experience with containerisation and orchestration using K8s, EKS, and Docker
  5. Knowledge of Kubernetes package management with Helm Charts
  6. Strong understanding of Serverless Technologies
  7. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  8. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
  10. Additional knowledge of tools like Dynatrace and ForgeRock is advantageous but not essential
