Job Description

We are seeking an HMI Engineer to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. The role involves developing and validating user interfaces within vehicle infotainment systems, focusing on feedback, messaging, auditory signals, and user interaction. The engineer will collaborate with validation teams, create specifications, propose design improvements, and support vehicle assessments.

Responsibilities

• Create clear and robust specifications
• Participate in design and validation meetings
• Present design proposals and benchmarking data
• Share issues related to HMI features
• Propose solutions to enhance user interaction
• Lead change request activities
• Support validation teams during testing phases

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Psychology, or related fields
• 3-5 years' experience in HMI performance and validation
• Knowledge of HMI/UX principles (education or experience)
• Automotive experience is a plus
• Preferred proximity to the border for potential work at ARDC

Employment Details

• Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
• Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour, with overtime pay
• Location: Windsor, ON, on-site
