As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications. This position will also involve collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the production environment. The position may involve being available for on-call duties as part of a scheduled roster.

What you'll do

1. Design and implement cloud infrastructures: use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform to create and manage scalable and secure infrastructures on cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
2. Automate CI/CD processes: Configure and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Concourse or Jenkins to ensure fast and reliable software releases
3. Manage containerized environments: work with technologies like Kubernetes and Docker to orchestrate and scale applications in containerized environments
4. Monitor and optimize systems: implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus) to ensure optimal availability and performance, proactively resolving issues
5. Ensure security and networking: apply security and networking best practices to protect infrastructure and applications, adhering to high standards
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work with development, operations, and architecture teams to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient solutions
7. Document complex systems: use tools like JIRA and Confluence to document processes and infrastructures, facilitating knowledge sharing
8. Research new technologies: explore and adopt new methodologies and tools to improve team efficiency and processes

What you'll bring

1. Experience working on multiple projects as part of a cross-functional team
2. Working with architecture teams to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient solutions
3. Passion for researching and implementing new technologies
4. Experience with mentoring/knowledge-sharing
5. Proven experience in coding with a programming/scripting language (e.g. Java, Golang, Javascript, Python, Bash)
6. Proven experience in IAC frameworks (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi)
7. Proven experience in using LINUX/UNIX
8. Proven experience in using the GitOps approach and related tools (e.g. ArgoCD, FluxCD)
9. Proven experience in working with DB (RDBMS or NoSQL)
10. Proven experience in a containerized environment (k8s, docker) and tools (kubectl, Helm, kustomize, docker-compose)
11. Proven experience in networking and security standards, protocols and best practices
12. Proven experience in logging systems (e.g. ELK stack)
13. Proven experience in monitoring systems (e.g. Prometheus)
14. Proven experience in tracing systems (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Jaeger)
15. Experience in performance optimization and resource management
16. Relevant certifications (AWS, Google)
17. Understanding of Agile methodologies
18. Ability to diagnose and resolve service-affecting issues in a Broadcast/Livestream environment
