The Role:

Due to growth within UK programmes, we are seeking talented DevOps Engineers throughout 2024. Responsibilities include participating in daily scrums, performing software requirements analysis, risk management, and collaborating within Agile teams. Flexibility in cross-training to support systems engineering, software development, security, and testing is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment.
• Plan and execute migration of databases to virtual AWS instances.
• Configure databases for performance, resilience, replication, reporting, administration, and backup/archiving.
• Design and maintain complex databases considering SQL, access methods, security, and documentation.
• Utilize database technologies, development methodologies, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, COGNOS).
• Contribute to runbooks for database maintenance, standards, and system integration.
• Align with Leidos delivery standards and suggest improvements.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in software engineering and AWS services.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, SonarQube, Robot, Python, Bitbucket, Jenkins, TerraForm, Ansible, Unix bash scripting, and SDLC.
• Ability to translate user stories into engineering deliverables and documentation.
• Experience with automated build/test/deploy processes.
• Knowledge of AWS, SME (Wintel/Unix/Networking/Security).
• Experience with SAFe methodology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet milestones.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• UK citizenship and residence required.
• Eligibility for UK SC clearance or higher.

Security Clearance:

• Clearance to start BPSS.
• Clearance for role SC.
• Willingness to undergo SC or DV clearance as required.
