Our client is a Digital Transformation and Cyber Security Consultancy, currently seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. They provide innovative digital and cybersecurity solutions to clients in both the public and private sectors, working on large-scale government and private sector projects.

Role Objective

We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer on a contract basis to play a critical role in a public sector digital transformation program. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team focused on automation, cloud infrastructure optimization, and enabling seamless continuous delivery across development and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins with Groovy scripting for automated application build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Vagrant, and scripting languages like Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Manage containerized applications with Docker to support streamlined deployment and environment consistency.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager to proactively address system performance issues.
• Promote DevOps best practices in automation, security, and agile delivery to improve operational efficiency and team productivity.

Essential Experience

• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform for Azure infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC frameworks.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
