Welford Systems is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation, and monitoring solutions. You will collaborate with developers, system administrators, and security teams to enhance deployment efficiency, scalability, and reliability. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and drive continuous integration, deployment, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software development and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Manage source control systems (Git) and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
• Enforce security best practices across DevOps workflows, including vulnerability management and compliance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system performance and scalability.
• Maintain and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
• Support and optimize infrastructure for both Linux and Windows-based environments.
• Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure documentation of infrastructure, processes, and best practices is up to date.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience or knowledge in Identity & Access Governance (IAG) / Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices.
• Experience working with version control systems (Git) and managing repositories.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize system performance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
