This is the job

As a DevOps Engineer within AA-X, you’ll help increase speed of delivery, improve quality/security of code, and optimise processes for the development team.

You’ll be responsible for identifying the bottlenecks of various development and delivery processes, working with team members to improve them, and improving the overall experience of Developers. You will also look after infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud provides along with metrics and login.

What will I be doing?
  • Closely collaborate with Engineering/Data Director and Developers of various teams to develop automation pipelines and CI/CD
  • Develop self-serve tools/artefacts to development teams to support the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) i.e., containerised dev env, testing env etc.
  • Configure infrastructure using IaaS/PaaS products and own developed tools
  • Actively participate in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using the supported technologies and infrastructure
  • Support planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks i.e., infrastructure health checks and monitoring
  • Maintain and grow own knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with wider DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solutions to the organisation
What do I need?
  • Strong DevOps experience particularly within MS Azure DevOps, and building/maintaining large-scale, cloud-based platforms in IaaS and PaaS
  • Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions i.e., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
  • Experienced with continuous integration and related tools such as GitlabCI, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.
  • DevOps automation experience including setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines and surrounding ecosystem with the ability to read/edit YAML
  • AWS experience is a plus!
