Job description

Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client, a consultancy who have a project of work supporting a Central Government client.

They seeking a DevOps Engineer who is vetted to SC level (and is also eligible/willing to undertake DV once the assignment has commenced). The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, great at working independently and taking real accountability and can demonstrate hands on experience.

Experience

• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience of deploying and customising Open Source VTC and Chat capabilities would be advantageous.
• Understanding of real-time communication protocols (WebRTC, SIP, STUN/TURN).
• Proficiency in scripting and programming (e.g., JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Bash).
• Experience with Linux system administration, networking, and firewall configuration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or private/on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Helm, GitOps, ArgoCD).
• Experience with monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki).
• Security-conscious mindset, including familiarity with best practices for TLS, authentication, and access controls.
• Experience with other communication tools (e.g., Mattermost)
• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar back-end technologies.
• Exposure to Zero Trust networking and secure enclave deployments.
