Job summary

Big Red Recruitment Midlands Limited is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join an engineering team delivering secure AWS cloud infrastructure and reliable platforms for UK public safety services. The role is based in Leicestershire with a hybrid pattern (on-site Tuesday and Wednesday) and requires SC clearance.

You will design, build and improve infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, enhance CI/CD pipelines, embed DevSecOps practices, and drive automation and observability to support

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform configurations.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build and improve secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation and deployment reliability.
• Embed DevSecOps principles and security tooling into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Improve observability, monitoring and platform resilience.
• Drive automation and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure and Support teams to improve delivery and engineering standards.
• Bring fresh ideas, challenge existing ways of working and help shape the future DevOps strategy.
