Job description

Our DevOps engineers work on "maximising product flow" in a financially regulated environment. This role will primarily be supporting the SS&C managed services platform, which hosts in-house developed software applications for our customers on AWS. As a member of the DevOps team, you will have responsibility for supporting existing DevOps tools in addition to designing & building new capabilities. You would also provide guidance to junior members of the team, as well as task management.

Our Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy)
• Assess and build new monitoring capabilities across on-premises & cloud-hosted environments
• Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools
• Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines
• Support implementation of our next-generation product stack (Microservices, Terraform, EKS, Consul, Vault)
• Work with our Cloud Engineers to develop AWS Solutions

Requirements:

• An IT degree, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working in AWS in a DevOps role
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes at scale
• Experience with on-premise / cloud hybrid systems
• Strong experience with IaC, in particular Terraform
• Experience with GitOps tool is a bonus
• Working knowledge of observability tools, preferably Grafana and Prometheus
