Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced deployment professional in the United Kingdom to manage end-to-end release activities. You will deploy code across development, test and live environments and oversee rollback procedures when needed.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining deployment tools, automating tasks, and setting up multi-component environments. You will also support testing teams by diagnosing environment issues and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Shell scripting or programming abilities are essential.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and methodical approach.
• Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changing plans.
• Experience with automation and deployment design concepts.
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of OO design, systems analysis and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Deploy multiple code packages into development, test and live environments.
• Plan and manage live deployments and rollback procedures.
• Design, implement and maintain deployment tools and processes.
• Identify improvements to deployment processes and automate tasks.
• Set up new environments consisting of multiple components.
• Provide support to testing teams by investigating environment issues.
