Salary: GBP12.79 / GBP16.82 an Hour
Full-Time (37 hours) 7am to 3pm
Contract: Initial contract to 31st March 2026 with possible extension
Devon and Cornwall Police are looking to recruit an administrator in Moonstone -the dedicated domestic abuse investigation and safeguarding team in Cornwall.
Successful applicants must be hard working, motivated people able to work on their own initiative in a high pressure and dynamic role, managing administration for meetings at all levels within policing, such as MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference) and senior management meetings. Working alongside partner agencies to safeguard victims and those impacted by domestic abuse, successful applicants will need to have the highest standards of integrity. Central to this will be the code of Ethics. Effective communication skills, minute taking, and data management are critical within this position.
The role involves detailed minute taking and working to strict deadlines as part of a dedicated team of specialist investigators and safeguarding officers covering the county. Administrators will be expected to complete training to be able to accurately and consistently record risk using the police computer system, NICHE as well as other Microsoft based IT systems such as Word, Excel, Teams and Onenote. They will be required to lead administration with strategic level management meetings and ensure actions are recorded accordingly. Administrators with work alongside a mixed team of police officers and investigators managed by a sergeant. The administrator will work weekdays. There will be some small amount of flexibility around start and finish times which will be a balance between the needs of the role and the successful candidate.
