Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service and Device Repair Technician at Batteries Plus in Carlisle, PA. This role involves device repair, customer service, sales, and inventory management, with starting pay at $15 an hour, increasing to $17 an hour upon certification, plus a bonus program.

Device Repair Technician Duties
  • Assist customers by logging device repair requests with professionalism.
  • Assess repair needs and estimate costs accurately.
  • Repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and other electronic devices.
  • Handle logistics such as receiving, packing, and shipping devices efficiently.
  • Install batteries, conduct tests, and perform technical repairs.
  • Rebuild cordless drill batteries and power packs.
  • Maintain inventory levels of components.
  • Train store team members in device disassembly, image capture, and creating tutorials.
  • Guide remote support via live camera assistance for in-store repairs.
Customer Service / Sales
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction in every interaction.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend add-on products.
  • Process transactions accurately.
  • Manage store phone inquiries and relay messages promptly.
  • Stay informed about product and service offerings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks.
Merchandising / Inventory
  • Support store operations as directed by management.
  • Track inventory, restock, and manage deliveries.
  • Ensure the store's visual presentation is appealing and organized.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma plus 3-6+ months of customer service and device repair experience.
  • An associate's degree in electronics or a related technical field is acceptable.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to collaborate and complete tasks reliably.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for delivery duties.
