Job summary

Taylor Wimpey is seeking a Technical Coordinator/Technical Manager to lead the external consultant team through procurement and design phases for development projects. You will ensure cross-discipline alignment, review drawings, and secure regulatory approvals.

The role requires knowledge of development processes, industry qualifications, and ability to drive tasks with minimal supervision, complemented by strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the full development/technical process.
• Industry related qualification required.
• Working towards or attained professional accreditation with RICS, CIOB, ICE or RIBA.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage external consultants and teams and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate external consultant team through all stages of procurement (Land & Planning, Commercial, Production, Sales, Adoptions).
• Ensure disciplines are joined up; review drawings and supplier details; advise on Building Regulation approvals.
• Lead design tenders and appoint consultants per Operating Framework; maintain detailed design programme.
• Prepare and secure Building Regulations approvals and ensure CDM/EMS processes are followed.
• Attend key meetings and site visits as required; support site sales with accurate information.
