Job description

Millfield School is seeking a passionate and experienced Development Swim Coach to join our renowned swimming programme. As the Development Swim Coach, you will play a crucial role in coaching and nurturing young swimmers throughout our structure, helping them achieve their full potential.

Millfield is an independent boarding school with outstanding pastoral and co-curricular activities, set in the heart of Somerset. We cater for approximately 1300 pupils, all of whom are engaged in sport and physical activities. We have outstanding facilities and a vibrant multisport environment.

The successful candidate will have a minimum UKCC Level 1 coaching qualification and experience within the world of aquatics as either a teacher, coach, or athlete. They will have knowledge of the long-term development practices for students in line with the British Swimming optimal athlete development framework, and experience of coaching students to a minimum of regional championship standard. NPLQ and NRASTC qualifications are desirable.

This is a permanent, year-round position averaging 42 hours per week, typically worked across Monday to Saturday. Occasional Sunday working will be required to support swimming competitions, trips, and other events. The salary will be competitive and based on qualifications and experience.
