Job summary

Bidwells seeks an experienced Development Surveyor at partner- or associate-level to lead residential land opportunities across Scotland. You will identify development land, market sites, advise on planning matters, and drive client relationships to win planning and development work for the firm.

The role offers leadership within a forward-thinking team, with focus on growth across the Perth office and wider Scottish market, delivering a first-class client service and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• MRICS or RTPI qualification preferred and strongly advantageous.
• Proven track record in winning and retaining business with strong networking skills.
• Experience partnering with housebuilders/landowners and knowledge of the Scottish planning system would help.

Responsibilities

• Identify residential development land opportunities through research and market insight.
• Market development sites and support sale of larger schemes; advise on co-operation and option agreements and planning matters.
• Develop client relationships as trusted advisor, prepare presentations, and promote Bidwells services to win work.
• Lead and mentor team members, manage resources, and drive business development initiatives.
