Your new role

  • An exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing team as a Development Scientist II (Cell Processing and Gene Modification).
  • A key role which will be responsible for developing, optimising, and evaluating processes for iPSC derivation, gene modification, cell processing, scale-up, and separation, as part of the Cell Processing and Gene Modification team within Process Development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in processing cell types such as iPSCs, MSCs, in 2D and 3D culture systems, and gene editing/reprogramming technologies, including transfection/transduction methodologies.
  • Work closely with both RoslinCT’s clients and internal MSAT department to develop and optimise product-specific process operations.
  • Perform routine tissue culture activities and processes for a range of pluripotent, progenitor and immune system cells.
  • Assist with the development of cell product manufacturing unit operations.
  • Ensure developed processes meet requirements for intended purpose.
  • Apply technical and scientific expertise to interpret and present experimental data.

About You

  • Prior experience within a CDMO manufacturing focussed environment.
  • Hands-on experience or Cell and Gene Therapy cell process development, current technologies and trends.
  • Familiarity with cell product manufacturing unit operations
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing unexpected interruptions and issues.
  • Highly flexible and organised in managing short-term demands and long-term workload.

Qualifications

  • The postholder should possess a Life Sciences Degree, Masters or PhD in a related subject
