Job Description:

The Role:

AA Euro Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Development Project Manager to join a leading renewables company based in Belfast. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team developing large-scale renewable energy projects across Northern Ireland, with a focus on Wind Sector experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the process of securing planning consents and amendments.
• Ensure planning compliance throughout pre-construction.
• Manage all planning studies, including EIA, visuals, and consultants.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as landowners, planners, politicians, consultants, utilities, and local authorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Senior Management, Renewables Development & O&M, Corporate Development, and Regulation.
• Conduct resource assessments, contribute to technology selection, and optimize site layouts.
• Engage in commercial negotiations with stakeholders and project partners.
• Manage risks and opportunities across multiple projects.
• Contribute to regulatory consultations and lobbying activities.
• Develop and oversee project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead project reporting and resource planning.
• Support due diligence for acquisition opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of the renewables industry, especially large-scale projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams, including consultants and contractors.
• Knowledge of the Northern Ireland planning process.
• Full clean driving license.
• Experience managing projects through development and construction phases.
• Community consultation and engagement skills.
• Understanding property agreements related to project development.
• Familiarity with renewables construction contracts.
• Knowledge of grid connection agreements.
