YTL UK is seeking a Development Process Scientist to join the Northern Science team delivering support at Wessex Water’s wastewater recycling centres across the North division. The role blends office and field work, with travel in a company-provided vehicle around Wiltshire, Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or scientific discipline or relevant operational experience.
• Extremely organised with ability to collate, analyse and present scientific data.
• Ability to build professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Team player who can work independently and plan workloads.
• IT literacy, excellent communication skills and experience with large data sets.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the effectiveness of sewage treatment processes.
• Inventory management of specialist scientific equipment.
• Support Process Scientists with their work or investigations.
• Provide process support during operational issues.
• Provide technical support to operational staff to protect and maintain quality.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the Environment Agency.
