Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is partnering with a Cambridge-based transport planning consultancy to appoint a Development Planning Transport Planner. You will work on a varied portfolio across residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use sectors, delivering transport planning advice from feasibility through to planning submissions.

The role involves preparing Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans, liaising with developers, authorities and other professionals, and managing your own workload

Qualifications

• Experience in development planning transport consultancy in a client-led environment.
• Strong communication with clients and local authorities is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a proactive approach.
• Familiarity with transport assessments, statements and travel plans is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Provide transport planning and highways advice for development proposals.
• Undertake traffic generation and distribution assessments for developments.
• Carry out junction capacity and traffic impact assessments.
• Assist with technical reports and planning submissions.
• Engage with local authorities and stakeholders throughout the process.
• Support junior team members and contribute to project delivery on time.
• Attend client and authority meetings as needed.
