As a business incorporating multiple disciplines, experience of working on and running inter-disciplinary projects would be advantageous.

Ideally, the applicant should be able to demonstrate a strong interest in active travel and placemaking and have experience of working with clients, architects and masterplanners to lift the quality of provision of both within new places.

The idea candidate will have@

  • Excellent communication skills and interface with clients
  • Ability to mentor manage and train junior staff
  • Ability to contribute / lead on bids and financial proposals
  • Strong technical background with experience of industry specific software (ideally including Junctions 9, Linsig, AutoCAD, ArcGIS)

We are looking for a Strategic thinker who is passionate about transport planning and its role in delivering great places, someone who is a team player but can operate largely without supervision.

The following would also be desirable but not essential:

  • Expert witness / Planning Inquiry experience
  • Chartership or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary environments
  • Experience of delivering vision-led (Vision and Validate / Predict and Decide / Monitor and Manage) approaches to development transport planning
  • Experience of engaging with, and negotiating with highway and planning authorities to agree proposed designs and planning obligations
