Woolwich Works continues to build its public programming, presenting a range of activities, embracing all artforms and types of events. Working across music, dance, comedy, food, workshops, talks, film, visual arts, children’s activities and more, we are developing a programme across boundaries.
The Trust doesn’t receive ongoing public subsidy, and so all income earned from commercial hires and ticketed events is used to run the organisation for the benefit of our community alongside grants, donations and sponsorship.
The Development Manager will work closely with the Director and Heads of Department to develop a fundraising strategy to support the Trust’s activities, seeking opportunities from trusts and foundations, developing and managing corporate partnerships, and cultivating relationships with individual donors.
You will work closely with the Director and other team members to steward existing partnerships and develop them further.
We’re looking for an experienced, ambitious fundraising professional. Ideally, you will have worked in an arts venue or a large organisation, with experience in all fundraising disciplines. Experience in community-based fundraising, especially with participatory or arts elements, is highly desirable.
You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop relationships, write successful applications, and craft compelling sponsorship pitches.
You will be highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, entrepreneurial, resourceful, and creative in problem-solving. Enjoy networking—representing the Trust and engaging with potential sponsors, donors, and stakeholders—and be passionate about contributing to the Trust’s goals.
