Role Overview

As our Development Manager - Wales, you'll take the lead in delivering and expanding the Youth Sport Trust's work across the home nation. You will:

  • Build strong national and local partnerships to advance our mission.
  • Manage funded projects and contracts, ensuring they deliver measurable impact for young people.
  • Champion youth leadership by supporting schools and educators to embed best practice.
  • Deliver key national events within the Young Ambassador calendar.
  • Collaborate with Sport Wales, local authorities, Sports Partnerships, and National Governing Bodies of Sport to strengthen collective impact.

You'll play a key role in growing our reach and influence in line with the Vision for Sport in Wales and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive through play and sport.

Qualifications

To succeed, you'll bring a strong understanding of Wales's sport and education landscapes and proven experience providing development support or thought leadership in these sectors. You'll be confident working collaboratively with young people and partners, with a good understanding of youth leadership, coaching, and volunteering. Skilled at financial management and an excellent communicator, you'll have a talent for building relationships, inspiring others, and managing competing priorities.

Compensation & Benefits

Fixed term until March 2027 (with the potential to be extended) £37,312.00 per annum (Full time), plus car allowance. Home based with regular travel across Wales and some travel to Youth Sport Trust Head Office Loughborough.
