The Alumni & Development department at the University of Strathclyde is looking for a Development Manager (Science & Engineering) to join our established philanthropy team in Glasgow for a 12-month maternity cover.

This is a high-profile, strategic role within our management team. You will have full ownership over fundraising strategies for our world‑class Science and Engineering faculties, securing major gifts to advance vital research and teaching.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 3 years of experience in a major gift fundraising environment (securing £25k+ gifts)
• Proven success in securing 5- and 6-figure gifts through compelling proposals and face‑to‑face asks.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing fundraising staff.
