Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Experience in Development Management or similar planning environment.
• Knowledge of the UK planning system, legislation and policy frameworks.
• Experience assessing planning applications and preparing reports.
• Ability to interpret planning policies and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate a wide range of planning applications in line with legislation and council policies.
• Review proposals against local and national planning guidance and technical requirements.
• Prepare clear planning reports with recommendations.
• Manage applications through the development management process and monitor progress.
• Provide professional planning advice to applicants, developers, and the public.
