Job summary

Futures Housing Group in the United Kingdom seeks a commercially minded Development Lead – New Business to identify, assess and secure development opportunities that support growth. You’ll turn promising sites into viable housing schemes and manage commercial, financial and practical details from appraisal to handover.

Qualifications

• Background in development within a registered housing provider.
• Strong understanding of the social housing sector.
• Commercially confident and organised.
• Experience managing priorities, budgets, financial appraisals, risk and contractual information.
• Knowledge of SDS ProVal or Homes England IMS would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assessing sites and completing financial appraisals.
• Negotiating commercial terms and managing risk.
• Developing viable, deliverable schemes that reflect local needs.
• Guiding schemes through approvals, funding and key milestones.
• Working with colleagues and partners to progress each scheme.
• Providing clear reports and a comprehensive handover to Programme Delivery.
