FFE Limited seeks a Development Engineer to conduct technical research, prototype testing, and engineering analysis under senior direction. You will evaluate technologies, analyze test data, and produce clear technical records supporting engineering decisions.

The role involves bench testing, fault finding and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. Applicants should hold a degree in Electronics or related discipline and be resident in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, product development or R&D environments.
• Familiarity with electronics including schematics, datasheets, prototyping and bench testing.
• Experience with Python or Matlab for engineering analysis, data processing or test automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical research, investigations, prototype testing and engineering analysis under senior guidance.
• Benchmark competitor products and explore alternative technologies.
• Analyze test results and communicate conclusions and recommendations in reports.
• Perform bench testing, fault finding and root-cause analysis of product or system behavior.
• Collaborate with development and production teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.
