Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking a Development Engineer to oversee and coordinate technical information for new housing developments in the North West. Reporting to the Technical Director and Engineering Manager, you will liaise with external consultants and internal teams to ensure approvals and on-site starts align with the programme.

You will contribute to the team by coordinating surveys, reviewing land development proposals, and administering utility connections, while ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating development surveys and earthworks on housing sites.
• Knowledge of building legislation and highway/water sewer design requirements.
• Experience with multi-utility service installations.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer topographical, geotechnical and utility surveys.
• Provide general engineering support to Technical Manager and departments.
• Appraise prospective development land for engineering viability.
• Coordinate utility disconnections and new mains installations.
• Manage external consultants and check their designs.
• Coordinate and administer specialist foundation designs and S38/S278 agreements.
• Attend pre-contract and progress meetings.
• Oversee spoil and earthwork movements and remediation contracts.
