Development Engineer for Mechanical Special Tools

This role includes the development of test and diagnostic cables, as well as customised solutions in the electrical/electronic field (electrification of drive trains; hybrid; HV ...) for various automobile manufacturers JLR and AML.

Responsibilities:

  1. Independent development of products and collaboration in project teams.
  2. Creation of 3D solid models and 2D drawings as well as parts lists.
  3. Creation of concept proposals & project documentation.
  4. Development of design solutions taking into account functional, material, manufacturing, and economic aspects.
  5. Collaboration in prototype validation and support through to series production.
  6. Adherence to time schedules and development cost specifications.
  7. Realisation of the customer's product requirements.
  8. Working with customers on various projects and communicate progress to them periodically.
  9. Ensuring compliance with customer schedules and cost expectations.

Qualifications:

  1. Completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
  2. Completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering or automotive mechatronics - desirable (but not required).
  3. Ability to work in a team; ability to work under pressure, travelling.
  4. Program knowledge MS-Office and 2D/3D CAD.
  5. Proficiency in Solidworks and preferably familiarity with PDM systems.

Create detailed engineering drawings to be passed on for prototyping and series production.
