Job summary

Development Engineer in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is sought to work on vehicle air and fuel systems at a world-class development facility. You will develop air and fuel system components and collaborate with engineers, suppliers and production to ensure quality and reliability.

The role involves managing air/fuel system development projects, leading design reviews, communicating status, coordinating validation, and writing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, engine components, manufacturing principles.
• Experience with fuel systems, air systems, EGR systems, turbochargers, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with DIAdem, vCDM, and Siemens TeamCenter PLM.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for Development Engineer to work on vehicle Air & Fuel Systems, based in our clients world class development facility in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

We are working with a global leader in manufacturing construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. Their engines division is a major subsidiary, and renowned for industrial diesel engines.

The successful applicant will develop air and fuel system components, collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and production facilities to ensure highest quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage air/fuel system development projects. 3 high pressure fuel systems, EGR system and Turbocharger systems.

The contract on offer:-

• Rate:- £33.66.00 per hour PAYE
• 25 days holiday plus 8 BH
• 4 weeks notice by either party
• 5 days a week 8:30-15:45 Mon - Thurs, 8:30-16:15 Friday - 37 hours per week.
• 12 months contract with the option to renew.
• Hybred working. Fully on site at beginning with flexibility once proven capable and client relationship is built to three days on site and two at home.

We will payroll the successful candidate directly for this role, on a PAYE basis as this is deemed inside IR35 and under the clients direct supervision and control.
