Job Title: Development Engineer

Constructive Moves is recruiting for a Development Engineer to join a national housing developer that builds traditional housing developments across East Anglia.

Role Overview

The Technical Department is very busy, and this role would ideally suit an engineer with experience working on volume housing schemes, either from a consultancy or housing developer background. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the technical team, overseeing external design and engineering consultants involved in project management and the administration of all technical and design matters for various residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the production of layouts and technical reports for land appraisals and required working drawings.
2. Brief and commission site investigations, topographical surveys, and other assessment reports on land acquired.
3. Brief engineering consultants on the scope of design, including roads, sewers, private drainage, retaining walls, external levels, foundation designs, and other substructures below DPC level, whether private or adopted.
4. Conduct initial negotiations and enquiries with statutory bodies and utility undertakers regarding environmental, drainage, highways, and other engineering issues during land appraisal.
5. Coordinate and procure utility infrastructure provision and utility diversions.
