Job Opportunity: Development Designer

We are seeking a talented Development Designer to join our well-established design company. This role offers excellent benefits and a salary of up to £45,000.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing retail display projects from brief to production, focusing on POS and fixture development, as well as new product development.
2. Creating detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes for approval.
3. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Refining and adapting designs based on feedback and client specifications.
5. Preparing comprehensive documentation for a smooth transition to manufacturing.
6. Researching materials and market trends to ensure sustainable and on-trend designs.
7. Overseeing prototype development, testing, and refinement, coordinating with suppliers for materials and fabrication.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Development Designer, Industrial Designer, Product Designer, Store Designer, Technical Designer, or similar role.
• Experience in development design for retail POS, fixtures, or fittings.
• Proficiency in prototyping, model-making, and material testing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials relevant to retail environments.
• Skilled in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D modelling tools.
• Ability to interpret briefs and translate concepts into technical drawings and prototypes.
