Job summary

Creative Alliance is seeking a Development Coach to support apprentices on the Creative Industries Production Technician apprenticeship. The role suits experienced apprenticeship coaches, trainers or assessors, or industry professionals keen to develop others.

We offer flexible/home-based working with high diary autonomy. Travel to theatres, venues and live-event sites across England is expected, plus opportunities to influence curriculum and work with major creative employers.

Qualifications

• Substantial practical experience in technical theatre, live events or creative venue production.
• Ability to work credibly with apprentices and employers.
• Experience in training, coaching, mentoring or supervising others is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor apprentices throughout their programme.
• Deliver vocational and technical learning within occupational competence.
• Visit apprentices in theatres, venues, studios and live-event workplaces for observations and reviews.
• Deliver online tutorials, seminars and practical learning activity.
• Work with employers to ensure apprentices gain the right workplace experience.
• Provide developmental feedback and support apprentices towards successful completion.
• Manage learner caseload, progress reviews, training plans and apprenticeship records.
• Contribute to curriculum development, technical resources and standardisation.
