Reed Specialist Recruitment is assisting with the recruitment of a Development Chemist for a site-based, full-time role in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will design and develop formulations, oversee initial production, and support CI projects within the technical department.

The role requires a chemistry degree, relevant experience in construction product formulations (e.g., liquids, membranes, adhesives), and a strong grasp of ISO standards.

Formación

• Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or related field.
• Experience as Development Chemist in construction products or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Excellent documentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex data and draw insightful conclusions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop new product formulations and variants.
• Oversee the initial production of new products, determining quality control testing and specifications.
• Support development and continuous improvement projects within the technical department.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of experimental data, procedures, and conclusions.
• Interpret test results and recommend next steps for project advancement.
• Collaborate with team members to improve test methodologies, procedures, and manufacturing practices.
• Troubleshoot product and process inefficiencies and provide technical support for projects transitioning to market.
• Conduct research to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of the technical department.
