The role involves R&D development of new compounds for detergents/cleaning chemicals in a dedicated lab, with scope for process scale-up and support across manufacturing. Commutable to High Peak and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Development Chemist or similar
• Knowledge of Industrial or Cleaning Chemicals; either in research, study or practical experience
• Commutable to High Peak

Responsibilities

• Execute planned projects within the R&D programme, setting timelines, delivering, and reporting results.
• Process scale-up and transfer from R&D to manufacturing operations
• Developing and evaluating new synthetic chemistry procedures and manufacturing processes.
• Running routine analytical tests.
• Sample administration, packing of samples and dispatching, liaising with the warehouse for sample transport to the lab, waste disposal.
• Working safely; using and understanding COSHH and risk assessments and writing new COSHH and risk assessments; following quality procedures and SOPs.
