A prominent position within a growing business in the chemicals industry is available for an innovative formulator. The role will involve developing new formulations, keeping abreast of industry innovations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Chemistry and experience in formulating personal care or homecare products.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a formulation laboratory environment.
  • Experience formulating personal care, homecare or aqueous-based products.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape for the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new formulas in line with industry innovation.
  • Be responsible for testing and evaluation of new products.
  • Conduct stability studies on the formulation portfolio.

Experienced within emulsion or aqueous based formulations?

What you will do

  • Develop new formulas in line with industry innovation
  • Research and keep up to date with new raw materials that can help to develop future formulations, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Be responsible for testing and evaluation of new products and considering the ever changing regulatory landscape
  • Be responsible for the stability studies of your portfolio of formulations

What you will need

  • BSc or higher in Chemistry or very closely related subject area
  • At least 1 year (industrial placement or post graduate in industry) of experience in a formulation laboratory environment
  • Hands on working knowledge of formulating emulsions or aqueous-liquid products
  • At least 1 year formulating personal care, homecare or aqueous based paint or ink products
