Are you a chef looking for a fresh challenge beyond the pass? Do you love food innovation and enjoy talking passionately about your creations? We re looking for a Development Chef who s just as confident presenting to corporate clients as they are creating new dishes from scratch.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading UK food manufacturer specialising in foodservice and bakery pre-mixes trusted by national wholesalers, pub chains, restaurant groups, and education providers. Based in the West Midlands, you'll be travelling across the UK to demonstrate new products, inspire customers, and influence menus at scale.

What you ll be doing

  • Create and develop new food concepts alongside the Business Development Chef
  • Present your creations to major foodservice clients, demonstrating product performance
  • Attend exhibitions and trade shows as a brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with our sales team, supporting customer relationships with culinary expertise
  • Work with cross-functional teams on recipe creation, sample prep, and documentation
  • Conduct market and trend research to drive innovation
  • Travel regularly, including overnight stays, to attend meetings and development sessions

What we re looking for

You ll likely come from a cheffing background perhaps as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or Head Chef and you're now ready to step into a role where you can use your culinary skill in a more strategic, customer-facing way.

You ll need to bring:

  • A recognised culinary qualification or strong kitchen experience
  • Confidence and professionalism when presenting to corporate clients
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Creativity and trend awareness in food innovation
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Food hygiene knowledge, allergen awareness, and basic HACCP understanding
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (overnight stays required)
