Our dynamic and evolving client is seeking to contract a highly capable and motivated Software Engineer II.

Location:

Kent, WA or Cape Canaveral, FL - On-Site 5 days a week

Length of Assignment:

4+ months (extension possible)

Responsibilities:
  • Member of a full-stack software development team (Scrum)
  • Develop highly reliable software solutions
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of multi-tenant SaaS applications for new and existing capabilities
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies as a team member
  • Contribute to standards and best practices; coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers
  • Deep dive into user problems and partner with product managers to find efficient solutions
  • Own software services for supply chain
  • Work with the latest AI/machine learning models and integrate with the software stack for supply chain
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with Java or Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer focusing on data engineering and backend development
  • Experience working on a full-stack software development team in agile (Scrum preferred), with at least 3 years in data engineering with relational and non-relational datastores
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • A passion for innovation, learning, and sharing knowledge
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Certification
  • Experience with public clouds (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code
  • Expertise in debugging, profiling, and improving application performance
  • Experience in designing and developing cloud-native solutions, microservices, and backend systems
  • Experience with in-stream data processing technologies like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
  • Advanced SQL and scripting skills
  • Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience
  • Experience with data-intensive applications
Compensation Range:

$65.00 - $68.50 per hour, depending on experience.
